A glass of wine with friends of course! \nWe’ve had such an incredible year of reading and can’t believe we are getting ready to go into our final month of 2025 – while also looking forward to all the book we’ll read together next year! If you are new to the book club this is the perfect time to jump in\, cozy up with a book as the temperatures drop and find the perfect excuse to enjoy a good read and a glass of wine.  \nWe’ll be meeting up at the end of each month to discuss the book over a glass of wine! You can do this as a group of friends reading together or use it as an opportunity to meet some new friends—you know you’ve got at least a love of City Scape in common!  \nFor the December Book Club\, we will be reading Theo of Golden\, by Allen Levi.  \nOne spring morning\, a stranger arrives in the small southern city of Golden. No one knows where he has come from…or why… \nHis name is Theo. And he asks a lot more questions than he answers. \nTheo visits the local coffeehouse\, where ninety-two pencil portraits hang on the walls\, portraits of the people of Golden done by a local artist. He begins purchasing them\, one at a time\, and putting them back in the hands of their “rightful owners.” With each exchange\, a story is told\, a friendship born\, and a life altered. \nA story of giving and receiving\, of seeing and being seen\, Theo of Golden is a beautifully crafted novel about the power of creative generosity\, the importance of wonder to a purposeful life\, and the invisible threads of kindness that bind us to one another.\n \nYou can purchase your own copy of the book in paperback or as an audiobook to listen!
