SUMMARY:Book Club Meet Up | 12:30 PM & 5:30 PM
DESCRIPTION:What better pairing for a great book than a glass of wine? A glass of wine with friends of course! \nWe meet on a Thursday each month to discuss the book of the month over a glass of wine! You can do this as a group of friends reading together\, or use it as an opportunity to meet some new friends – you know you’ve got at least a love of City Scape in common!  \nWhether you are one of the original members\, you know who you are ;)\, or you are wanting to jump in for your first time\, all are welcome! \nFor the November Book Club\, we will be reading The Measure by Nikki Erlick.  \nEight ordinary people. One extraordinary choice. \nIt seems like any other day. You wake up\, drink a cup of coffee\, and head out. \nBut today\, when you open your front door\, waiting for you is a small wooden box. The contents of this mysterious box tells you the exact number of years you will live. \nFrom suburban doorsteps to desert tents\, every person on every continent receives the same box. In an instant\, the world is thrust into a collective frenzy. Where did these boxes come from? What do they mean? Is there truth to what they promise? \nAs society comes together and pulls apart\, everyone faces the same shocking choice: Do they wish to know how long they’ll live? And\, if so\, what will they do with that knowledge? This compelling book club fiction explores that very question. \nThe Measure charts the dawn of this new world through an unforgettable cast of characters whose decisions and fates interweave with one another: best friends whose dreams are forever entwined\, pen pals finding refuge in the unknown\, a couple who thought they didn’t have to rush\, a doctor who cannot save himself\, and a politician whose box becomes the powder keg that ultimately changes everything. \nEnchanting and deeply uplifting\, The Measure is an ambitious\, invigorating story about family\, friendship\, hope\, and destiny that encourages us to live life to the fullest. \nYou can purchase your own copy of the book in paperback or as an audiobook to listen!  \nThis will be a perfect place for you to connect with others who love wine and books!  \nBOOK CLUB MEET UP AT CITY SCAPE  \n🗓️ Thursday\, November 19th \n🕰️ 12:30-2:00pm & 5:30-7:00pm (Join us for either time that works!)  \n🍷 $9.95 (plus taxes & gratuity) Includes your first glass of wine at the Book Club Meet Up and reserves your spot! Additional food and wine will be available to purchase on site!
