DESCRIPTION:This past Saturday\, January 3rd\, our beloved Pinot the Pig\, a part of the City Scape family from the very beginning\, passed away at almost 10 years old.\n\n\nPinot was a surprise gift to Debra for her 30th birthday and quickly became a big part of our winery family. Pinot was no ordinary pig. He was spunky\, incredibly smart\, and endlessly entertaining. As the winery grew\, so did Pinot. Within a year\, he learned how to sit\, jump\, spin\, hike without a leash\, and give high fives.\n\n\n\nBeing the winery mascot\, Pinot developed a taste for the finer things in life. He occasionally tried to sneak a sip of wine and was gently reminded it was not for pigs. His love for gourmet cheese was unmatched\, and once he spotted it\, there was truly no stopping him.\n\n\nIn his younger years\, he would hop in the truck with us for rides to Chick-fil-A and Starbucks\, charming employees everywhere by sticking his head out the window at the drive through. He loved long hikes\, rap music\, and simply being wherever the party was happening.\n\n\n\nAs Pinot grew older\, he moved into a charming cottage at the winery\, where he became a crucial part of our sustainability program\, eating the leftovers from the kitchen and fertilizing the land.\n\n\n\nWhile our hearts are broken and feeling a bit heavy\, we are so grateful for the joy he brought into our lives and into this place. Pinot reminded us not to take life too seriously\, to laugh often\, and to embrace the unexpected. He was truly one of a kind\, and his presence will forever be part of our story.\n\n\n\nWe would love to honor Pinot together. On January 17th at 4 PM\, please join us at the patio cottage for “A Celebration of Oink” – A joyful gathering to remember our sweet Pinot. We will be sharing stories and memories that celebrate the life\, laughter\, and joy he brought to so many as well featuring Pinot-inspired wine selections. DESCRIPTION:We’re ending off the summer with this special themed celebration of some of our favorite pickled items for Sips & Bites: Brine Time! Each hors d’oeuvre will feature all things brined and pickled – not reserved just for the garnish at this event! We’ll be presenting everything from triple pickled deviled eggs\, pickled shrimp summer roll\, brined Korean chicken wings with kimchi slaw\, and even a pickled strawberry dessert – each item paired perfectly with City Scape wines! \nHosted by none other than our esteemed winery owner\, Deb Jones\, this event promises to be a memorable celebration of wine\, food\, and some amazing pairings of flavors! SUMMARY:Winemaker for a Day
DESCRIPTION:We know you have had plenty of experience drinking wine\, but how about making it!? We are so excited to be hosting our popular “Winemaker for a Day” event! This is a unique 2.5-hour experience where you will learn everything from how to grow grapes\, produce wine at home and even blend your own custom bottle of wine to take home with you! \nHosted by our winemaker and owner\, Josh Jones\, the day will start out with an hour-long tour of our vineyards and production areas\, where we will discuss how you can grow grapes and make your own wine at home. Afterward\, we will have a custom dry red wine blending session inside our underground barrel cellar. This will be an interactive experience where you will learn firsthand how to create tasting notes\, measure samples\, and create a custom blend. At the end you will blend\, bottle\, cork\, and label your very own custom bottle to take home with you! \nThis is a unique experience unlike anything else you have experienced before and is limited to just 18 people! The cost is $125 per person\, and includes the tour\, blending class\, a custom bottle of wine with label\, all needed supplies\, a cheese board to snack on\, and of course… plenty of wine to enjoy! \nThese won’t last long so grab your spot soon!
